This year, we are changing up the Aldbourne Beer & Cider Festival to make it even BIGGER and even BETTER – introducing WINTERFEST.
We have moved the date to February, added more entertainment and increased our range of drinks.
However we still have the same aim of raising money for ex-forces dogs and providing you with a fantastic weekend
Raising money for ex-forces dogs
Our main focus is still on raising as much money as we can for important charities. This year we continue our support for Hero Paws, and we are delighted to bring on board a brand new cause in Wags. More info below on our great 2025 causes.
W.A.G.s Retired Police Dog Charity is an independent charity set up to help the Retired Police Dogs from Wiltshire, Avon and Somerset and Gloucestershire Police Forces. Police Dogs spend their working lives detecting crimes and helping with searches, often for the most vulnerable people in our society. The dogs can be involved in dangerous situations and may be injured whilst protecting the Public, Police Officers and detaining offenders.
We at Hero Paws are working hard to make our vision a reality. With your help we will create a fully equipped sanctuary for forces and service dogs that require decompression from the kennel environment to rehoming. This will in turn release the pressure on the forces and services that the dogs are currently with, which ultimately means lessening the euthanasia for dogs post service. These dogs have been loyal and dedicated in their working lives – it is now time we support them.
